The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has alleged that Rivers State Governor, Mr. Simu Hubala, insulted the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. OCJ Okocha.
He also said the governor insulted the former chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council, King Sergeant Ause, Chief Ferdinand Anabulaba.
The minister made this assertion at a luncheon he hosted to commemorate the 10th Rivers State Legislative Assembly held in Port Harcourt.
Describing Ause, Anabulaba and Okocha as the “three wise men”, the FCT minister said they made sacrifices to propel Mr Hubara to the governorship.
He said, “On Thursday, another ‘wise man’ (referring to OCJ Okocha) was insulted. This man, Hubala, was not a primary school student when the ‘wise man’ was called to the bar. This man, Hubala, insulted the Ph.D.
“I’m glad, I’m not the only one here, Hubala has shown his ingratitude.” He expressed his gratitude to the “wise men.”
“One of the wise men, Mr. Oze, was removed as chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council because he was in a coma and was seeking assistance.”
The Minister recalled that some time ago Mr. Hubala had described the three old politicians as wise men on television.
“The ‘wise men’ have now been turned upside down. Yes, he has turned them over again. That’s an unfortunate thing in life. If you are a bad person, you are also a bad person,” he added.
