Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has issued a public apology to Omega Fire Ministry Apostle Johnson Suleman for defaming her name.
In a letter posted on her Instagram on Wednesday with the caption “Letter to Apostle Johnson Suleman,” the actress admitted that she had spread falsehoods against the cleric and caused him distress.
The letter also details the reasons for Halima’s apology, and regrets that her allegations have caused him, his wife Lizzy Suleman, their families, and Omega Fire Department leadership. I added that I thought so.
She acknowledged that an apology alone could not undo the damage done and expressed hope that this letter would open the door to his forgiveness.
The letter reads: “I acknowledge that I have made false allegations against you and that I have committed my actions and actions against you, your wife, Dr. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the leadership of the Omega Fire Department. We regret the damage caused.
“With this letter, I humbly ask for forgiveness. I recognize that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain and suffering I have caused, and that I was not thinking correctly at the time. , please find a place in your heart where you can forgive me.”
“I am truly sorry for all the hurt and pain I have caused you, your family, and your ministry.”
In April, the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja fined Halima N10 million in damages following her claim that she was bedridden after an argument with a pastor.
The actress’ family called on the pastor on social media to stay away from her during her illness.
However, many have claimed that the actress may be battling an autoimmune disease, which she debunked by sharing medical reports.
