Nigerian gospel artiste, Dare Melody (real name Damilare Oduniga) has expressed his sadness following the recent passing of his beloved wife Adedoyin Odunuga (née Odagi).
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that the singer had announced the death of his wife through his Instagram page in the early morning of October 24, 2024, that is Thursday.
A wake service was held on the evening of Thursday, November 7th. Der Melody took the opportunity to talk about the significant influence his wife had on his life.
During the gathering, he spoke openly about the difficulties he was experiencing and emphasized his determination to approach each day with awareness to avoid future regrets.
He described his late wife as a genuine and honest person who told things like they were, which resonated with his own principles.
“I try hard for today so as not to ruin tomorrow. I often said to my late wife that no matter what you hear about me, we are musicians and we are human beings. Please accept me as I am, my wife. Adedoyin was a very sincere and honest person. I don’t know how to lie. I used to fix people’s houses, but when the storm came, I fixed my own house. I can no longer do it,” he said in his dialect (Yoruba).
