The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ideato North Local Government, Umkegwu/Umpia Ward Chapter has rejected the expulsion of Mr. Imo Ugochinyele.
Naija News reports that Ugochinyere, the House of Representatives member representing Ideato North/South Constituency, has been expelled by Imo State party leaders.
In a joint statement on Saturday, the district and local government party leaders said the expulsion of Ikenga Imo Ugochinyele is fake news and should be ignored by the general public.
In a statement, the party chairpersons for Umkegwu/Umpia constituency and Ideato North, Mr. Mathias Onuebunwa and Mr. Emeka Eze, said that Mr. Ugochinyere is responsible for Umkegwu/Umpia constituency, Ideato North, Imo State and the country at large respectively. He declared that he would remain a full member of the PDP.
“The Ward and Local Council Executive of Umkegwu/Umpia Constituency and Ideato North LG PDP are threatening the public with fake news by pro-Wike APC members orchestrated by the disgraced PDP Secretary of State Sam Anyau in the name of ousting the state leadership. Imo PDP, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, Ideato. Strong pillars and Iroko PDP in North and Umkegwu/Umupia districts.
“Mr. Ikenga is a strong member of the PDP and we in the ward and LGA have no reason to suspend him for not speaking out to oust him.Rather we are working as ministers in the APC on a salary Under the guidance of the Master, we owe him respect and confidence for his brave fight in rescuing the PDP from political traitors bent on selling it to the APC led by Anywau and Damagun.
“Ikenga is the child of a politician who cannot be bothered to strive to please his disgraced paymaster because Ikenga, the state leader of Imo PDP, is today the highest elected official in PDP. Beyond our wildest dreams. We trust our leaders.”
