Kayode Salako, the husband of popular Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola, has revealed that he has a child with another woman outside of marriage.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Folke and Salako married in 2010 but did not have any children yet.
However, Kayode decided to father a child named Murewa with his second wife, Oluwafunke Oyegoke Salako, who is based overseas.
Clarifying rumors about children, the former Labor Party (Lagos branch) chairman in a recent Facebook post said that he was fully aware of and supported his wife, Foluke, in her decision to have a child with Oluwafunke. He said that
He said the two have been married for more than 13 years but have no biological children. He also said the other children are now adults and living with their mother overseas.
The post reads: “Since I am not impotent, it took me three years to beg my wife, Folke Daramola Salako, to allow me to have at least one or two children here in Nigeria for my security in old age.” ,
“I’m already over 50 years old, but I don’t want to continue living alone without any children around me even when I’m 70.”
“I have been married to my girlfriend for over 13 years and God has not given us a loving child yet. After a while she felt reasonable with me and moved on. He said it was fine.”
Salako also revealed that the actress treats Murewa like her own son and maintains a friendly relationship with the boy’s mother, calling him her “breast sister.”
“Murewa Omowonuora (Ayinde) Salako is a product of that understanding,” he added.
“Oluwafunke Oyegoke Salako of Ogbomosho is that baby that Nigerian women bloggers have been talking about on social media since last year and Oluwamurewa is the baby boy she gave us.
“Folke treats him like a son. Folke and Funke get along as voluptuous sisters.”
