The Israel Defense Forces blew up a two-mile-long Hezbollah tunnel filled with weapons and supplies near the border on Saturday in an explosion powerful enough to set off earthquake alarms.
The IDF says the tunnel is just one of several in southern Lebanon that Hezbollah’s elite Radwan forces are preparing to someday invade Israel in an attack similar to the October 7 massacre. He said it was just one of the many tunnels.
Israeli forces found AK-47 rifles, explosives, rocket launchers, sniper rifles, anti-tank guided missiles and launchers inside the tunnel.

The soldiers also discovered a large stash of food, including canned goods, chocolate and even pickled olives, and there was enough food to feed more than 100 combatants, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The base had electricity and plumbing, as well as several bedrooms and bathrooms for the terrorists.
Officials said the tunnels were discovered during a 48-hour operation in southern Lebanon during which Israeli forces were fighting Hezbollah fighters stationed near the tunnels.
After killing the terrorist along with four other Hezbollah operatives in a small nearby tunnel, the soldiers advanced inside the 2.2-mile-long underground base.

The tunnels were riddled with Hezbollah booby traps and land mines, which Israeli Defense Forces were able to clear for inspection.
The IDF then lined the tunnel system with about 400 tons of explosives, which were detonated on Saturday. It was so powerful that false earthquake alarms were sounded throughout northern Israel.
According to the Jerusalem Post, major seismic activity was detected in 284 communities in Israel and the West Bank.
The tunnel system was estimated to be approximately 1.2 miles long and 43 yards underground. I.D.F.
A similar incident occurred in Russia last month, when a Ukrainian drone struck an armory in Tropets, and a huge explosion was recorded by seismic monitoring stations across the region.
In addition to the tunnels destroyed on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces allegedly alerted at least three Hezbollah tunnels that were in preparation for the terrorist group’s alleged “Conquest of Galilee” operation, and Israel It claims the operation includes a cross-border invasion.
The existence of a tunnel so close to the border is a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the Israel-Lebanon war in 2006 and created a buffer zone along the border prohibiting IDF and Hezbollah activities.
