Former Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemate, Victoria Adeyele popularly known as Vee, recently confessed that she has never really been in love, citing trust and vulnerability issues.
The 27-year-old reality star shared her thoughts on love in a recent interview on the podcast Dear Ife, saying she differentiates between loving someone and being “blindly in love.”
She said:
“You have to trust someone completely, and I think that’s probably why I haven’t really been there yet.
“I think I’ve loved someone before, but I don't think I’ve ever been in love like a blind love.
“[Because]there’s always something…I’m a person who if I see a red flag, I might just fold it up and put it in my pocket. But I have it and I recognize it. .”
The reality star also pointed out that lying is a big red flag for her.
She said: “Everyone has red flags, but I think one of the main red flags that I stand back and stay on guard against is lying.
“I once received a message with a screenshot from a random account saying they were sending naked pictures to my partner.
“She said she wanted to try our relationship on my behalf and he looked at them and said he liked some of them.
“When I presented him with the situation, he said, ‘Oh, my manager was on that account, people are sharing my account,’ and… at the end of the day, the story is simple. It wasn’t.
“But I just knew I was lying, because it would never make any sense… You know you can always tell when someone is lying.”
