Joe Biden is furious at the Justice Department’s choice of Attorney General Merrick Garland to lead the Justice Department after it prosecuted his son Hunter, according to a new book by Bob Woodward.
The claim is just one of many bombshell insights about President Biden published in “War,” released Oct. 15. The book reveals that the president is desperately trying to prevent war in the Middle East, and is exhausted by the fear that Russia will start a nuclear war. Subverted by his wayward son.
Biden also accused Biden of failing to stop Putin’s 2014 invasion of Crimea, from Garland to Vladimir Putin to Benjamin Netnyahu to even Barack Obama, saying, “Barack has taken President Putin seriously.” I didn’t accept it,” he said furiously.
Although the president has publicly said he has no intention of pardoning or commuting his son’s conviction on three federal firearms charges, he remains furious with the AG privately. Woodward wrote. It describes how Biden told a colleague, “I shouldn’t have chosen Garland.”

“This stuff is never going to go away,” Biden groaned about his son’s longstanding legal problems, including three felonies and six misdemeanors to which he pleaded guilty in September, the book said.
Woodward also describes the sight of the president and his spoiled son in the White House in spring 2022.
The president was having dinner with friends when Hunter came in and claimed that he was the one who lost the most in the midterm elections.
Bob Woodward’s book “War” depicts Biden’s relationships with foreign leaders. The Associated Press’ Hunter Biden complained that he had a lot to lose in the midterm elections, and his father reacted in disbelief. Teresa Kruger
“Hunter continued to ramble on about his personal crisis. President Biden leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and sighed,” Woodward wrote.
The book, obtained by CNN ahead of its release, is based on interviews with people who witnessed Biden’s outburst.
Joining the firing line were:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
As Israel’s war in Gaza escalates, Woodward claims President Biden has slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu as a “bad son of a bitch.”
Journalists revealed how earlier this year Biden furiously told a colleague, “That son of a bitch, Bibi Netanyahu, he’s a bad guy.” He’s a bad guy! ”
Woodward described the troubled relationship between Biden and Netanyahu as the Middle East descends into turmoil following the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas.

While Biden publicly supported Israel, he fought with Netanyahu behind the scenes over how to proceed with the war in Gaza.
“What is your strategy?” Woodward said Biden asked Netanyahu during a phone call in April. “Bibi, you have no strategy.”
That same month, Israel launched an attack on Syria that killed the top commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and Iran fired more than 100 ballistic missiles in response.
The United States defended Israel, along with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and other U.S. allies. Almost all of Iran’s missiles were intercepted, but Netanyahu wanted retaliation.
Biden told Prime Minister Netanyahu to “seek victory,” but the Israeli prime minister objected. “You don’t have to take any action. Just do nothing,” Biden said.
In the end, Israel launched a small attack against Iran, and Biden thought he had won. But as the war escalated, his frustration boiled over.

“Bibi, what do you mean?” Biden shouted in July after an Israeli airstrike killed a Hezbollah military officer and three civilians in Beirut, according to Woodward.
“You know there is a growing recognition around the world that Israel is a rogue state, a rogue,” the president told Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Prime Minister Netanyahu responded that the target was “one of the main terrorists.”
“We saw an opportunity and took it,” he said. “The harder we attack, the more successful the negotiations will be.”
Vladimir Putin
Mr. Woodward said that shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine, Mr. Biden was furious with his advisers, calling him “that fucking king Putin.” “Putin is evil. We are dealing with the epitome of evil.”
Ahead of the invasion, the United States received intelligence in October 2021 that showed “conclusively” Putin’s plan to invade with 175,000 troops, Woodward reported.
“It was as if[the source]had secretly penetrated an enemy commander’s tent and crouched over a map,” Woodward wrote.
Biden and his advisers agreed the plan was “very serious,” but it was still hard to believe.

Biden responded: “This is so crazy…” “Jesus, now we have to deal with Russia swallowing Ukraine?”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy ignored Vice President Kamala Harris’ warnings in February 2022 that an invasion was imminent. Woodward wrote that after the meeting, Harris said she feared it would be the last time she would see Zelensky.
But by September 2022, an “exquisite” US intelligence report concluded that Putin felt the battlefield losses in the war against Ukraine so desperate that he might use tactical nuclear weapons. claimed to be 50%.
The book details a tense phone conversation between Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Russian Minister Sergei Shoigu in October 2022.

According to Woodward, Austin warned that nuclear war “would isolate Russia on the world stage in a way that the Russians cannot fully understand.”
Shoigu replied, “I don’t like being threatened.”
“Mr. Minister,” Austin is quoted as saying. “I am the leader of the most powerful military in the history of the world. I am not threatening you.”
Two days later, the Russians requested a second call. This time, Shoigu claimed that the Ukrainians were planning to use a “dirty bomb,” a false story that the United States believed the Kremlin was pushing as an excuse to deploy nuclear weapons.
Still, “it was probably the most gruesome moment of the entire war,” senior Pentagon official Colin Kahl later said of the episode.
barack obama
Ahead of Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Biden criticized President Obama for failing to stop President Putin from annexing Crimea in 2014.
“They screwed up in 2014,” Biden told a friend, Woodward said. “That’s why we’re here. We messed it up. Mr. Barak never took Mr. Putin seriously.”
Biden added: “We did nothing. We gave Putin permission to continue!” Biden fumed: “Well, I’m revoking his license!”

“War” also reveals how then-President Donald Trump sent coronavirus testing equipment to President Vladimir Putin for his personal use at the height of the pandemic.
“Don’t tell anyone you sent me these,” Putin told Trump, Woodward said.
When Trump replied that he didn’t care, Putin replied, “Don’t tell anyone. People will be angry at you, not me. They don’t care about me.”
Mr. Woodward wrote that Mr. Trump remained in contact with Mr. Putin even after leaving office, and detailed an appearance at Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, Florida, mansion, where Mr. Trump spoke with senior officials. He is said to have ordered his aides to leave the room. Telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. ”
“According to President Trump’s aides, there have been multiple phone calls between President Trump and President Putin, possibly as many as seven since President Trump left the White House in 2021,” Woodward said. However, Trump’s aide Jason Miller denies this in his book.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Since October 7, Secretary of State Antony Blinken has made a whirlwind tour of the Middle East to negotiate humanitarian aid for Gaza, only to be forced to stay up all night waiting for Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to meet him. Ta.
“MBS was nothing more than a spoiled child,” Woodward said, quoting Blinken.
The book also details a meeting that Lindsey Graham had with the prince in March.
“Hey, let’s call Trump,” Graham told MBS during a visit with the Saudi leader in March.
Mr. Woodward wrote that Mr. bin Salman had an aide bring him a bag containing about 50 burner phones and pulled out a phone with the word “TRUMP 45” written on it. Woodward wrote that there was also a burner in the bag that read “Jake Sullivan,” Biden’s national security adviser.

2024 Election
Woodward writes about how Trump decided to run for president again after a conversation with fellow golfer Sen. Lindsey Graham.
“Going to Mar-a-Lago is a little like going to North Korea,” Graham said. “Every time President Trump comes on, everyone stands up and applauds.”
Meanwhile, the book said it was Blinken who brought up the topic of Biden withdrawing from the race during a private July 4 lunch.

“I don’t want to see your legacy jeopardized. Anyone who writes about it gets a sentence. That’s the legacy,” Blinken was quoted as saying. “If this decision leads to you staying in office and getting re-elected, that’s great. If it leads to you staying in office and losing re-election, that’s the verdict.”
Mr. Blinken asked Mr. Biden: you have to answer that question. ”
“War” also offers a glimpse into Biden and Harris’ personal dealings as vice president. Woodward wrote that she is concerned about Biden’s isolation.
“I’m calling to ask you, in fact, I’m really asking you, could you please talk to me more than you talk to the president?” Harris reportedly told Biden In a phone call with one of his closest friends, he said:
The friend told Harris that, according to the book, the president primarily called on them to “freely take oaths about ‘How bad is Joe Manchin?'”
