The Labour Party (LP) has announced a new strategy aimed at securing the victory of the party and unmarried President Bora Tinubu in the 2027 election.
The party has announced that it has begun “recovering operations and repayment.”
Naija News understands that the move is led by a loyal faction as interim leader of the Labour Party, loyal to Nenadi Usman.
The move was revealed by Apagun Oral Samuel, interim chairman of the party in Ogun State, when he led the state party delegation on a courtesy visit to the National Political Committee of the Nigerian Labour Conference (NLC) .
During the visit, Samuel and the delegation expressed their dissatisfaction with the recognition of the NLC’s silence on issues affecting the parties.
He said, “As part of the ‘recovery and redemption’ strategy, Labour has decided to launch a national assembly, leading to a legitimate and comprehensive national conference. The move aims to restore the party’s integrity, protect human capital and reconstruct its image ahead of the 2027 general election.
“The party also said it will implement legal and organisational measures to counteract the operations and external influences that undermine its values and progress.”
“We are committed to restoring the party from those who hijacked it and restoring its integrity.”
“We are committed to rebuilding Labour into formidable forces for the 2027 election, so we urge all members to remain immoral and committed to this process.”
Professor Theophilus ndubuaku, chairman of the NLC Political Committee, said they will address all the issues raised by the visiting team aimed at the Labour Party overcoming the challenges and being prepared for the 2027 election. We confirmed our commitment.
