Five people, including celebrants and event planners, were arrested and will be charged by the Lagos State Environmental Response Team with "obstructing traffic and causing nuisance to the environment.”

While sharing the photo, the chief minister said that priests, event planners and musicians will be tried in court according to state law, reiterating that no one is above the law.
The statement reads: “On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Lagos State Government arrested persons including celebrants, event planners, musicians and others on charges of obstruction of traffic and environmental nuisance.
“The following people were arrested:1. Omolala Ajetumobi – Event Planner2. Ogundare Olubunmi – Celebrant3. Ayodele Busui – Musician4. Owoeye Adedayo – Sound Engineer5. Akinola Akinkunmi – Vendor
“The suspects were arrested for blocking Raymond Njoku Road in the south-west of Ikoyi during a birthday celebration.They will be tried in court in accordance with state law.
“Lagos State Government reiterates that no one is above the law and disregarding state regulations will not be tolerated.”
