News of singer Liam Payne’s death broke suddenly on Wednesday, October 16th. Former One Direction singer Liam Payne fell from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Argentina, but details of the incident have not yet been released.
In a statement released the next day, Mr Payne‘s family said they were “heartbroken” by his death and mourned his “kind, funny and brave soul”. Payne is survived by his mother, father, two sisters, and his son Bear with ex Cheryl Cole.
Zedd, who produced Get Low with Payne in 2017, wrote that the news was “absolutely heartbreaking.” Fellow X Factor contestant Jedward expressed his sympathies to his ex-partner Cheryl and the couple’s son Bear. And Elle James, whose songs by Payne and Rita Ora were featured in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Freed, said it was “almost unbelievable”. “We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we will never forget his kind, funny and brave soul.” Payne’s family told The Sun in a statement. “We are supporting each other as much as we can as a family and ask for privacy and space during this terrible time.”
