Israeli forces continue to bombard the Lebanese capital in what they describe as a “series of targeted attacks” against weapons storage facilities and other parts of Hezbollah’s infrastructure. Air strikes across Israel on Saturday left 23 people dead and 93 injured, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
Elsewhere, Israel said it had “surrounded” the Jabaliya refugee camp area in northern Gaza after discovering the presence of Hamas members there. At least 25 people were killed in an attack on a mosque in central Gaza, hospital officials said.
Meanwhile, as the anniversary of Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel approaches, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country is “defending itself on seven fronts.”
