All Progressives Congress (APC) in the DASS Local Government Area of Bauch Province suffered a major setback as 7,500 members, including a major party leader who died in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

At a reception hosted by Hon, the local PDP president. Yusuf Sabo and Dass LGA Executive Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Abubakar Jibo, an exile, has pledged full support for the PDP.
Explaining their decision, Umar praised Governor Bala Mohammed’s policy and said his governance had brought concrete benefits to the people.
“Governor Bala Mohammed’s policy since 2019 has convinced him to be consistent with the PDP. We believe that the interests of our supporters are coming first and that PDP really prioritizes the welfare of people. “We’ll do that,” Umar said.
He further noted that PDP leadership was superior to former speaker Yakubu Dogara’s APC-led management in delivering development projects.
Hon. Mohammed Abubakar Jibo welcomed new PDP members, but sought unity in ensuring they have equal opportunities within the party and moving forward with the PDP’s vision for the Dass LGA and Bauchi province.
Asylum comes amid an increase in political realignment ahead of the next general election, indicating a major change in the political landscape of the Bauch state.
