Metso has won a repeat order for the supply of liners for SAG and ball mills from a mining customer’s site in Africa. Metso’s range of supplies includes metallic liners for SAG mills, metallic and Megaliner™ composite linings for ball mills.
Additional services are provided including MillMapper™ liner wear monitoring, metrics digital monitoring, on-site support, and performance guarantees.
By leveraging Metso’s expertise and world-class technology, customers can ramp up to optimal mill speeds faster, increase grinding efficiency and reduce pebble formation. Additionally, improvements are made by making liner installation faster and safer, and performance is also improved by implementing wear life simulation. Megaliner offers efficient liner exchange, reducing relining downtime and increasing safety during relining.
The order value amounts to approximately 14 million euros. The first part of the order was booked in the second quarter of the Minerals segment, and the remainder was booked in the third quarter of 2024.
