I love going to pumpkin fields and apple orchards and taking photos there is so nice. Mashing the pumpkin and roasting the seeds makes a great late-night snack. I love scary movies and Disney’s classic Halloween movies and could watch them on repeat all year long. I love a cozy sweater and it gives me even more excuses to buy one. Layering brown or green on a polo sweater will give you a Summer McKeown vibe. Who doesn’t love fall nail colors? But imagine if all of my favorite things about fall happened quietly. Now imagine your event happening in silence…that should never happen. Everything is better with music!
But don’t you hate not having the perfect playlist to fill the background space of your autumn festivities? Shuffling songs you’ve already listened to dozens of times throughout the year doesn’t do autumn justice . Everyone should have a designated fall playlist that fits the mood and adds even more fun to the season. These are my favorites from my specially curated fall playlist. There’s a mix of songs that everyone knows, oldies, and songs that most people don’t know. Some songs are upbeat, some are mellow, and some are a mix of each. Each song is different from the previous, but all hopeful, peaceful, and coded.
First, let’s introduce a song that everyone knows and loves! Artists like Taylor Swift, Zach Bryan, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and The Lumineers are truly versatile singers with hundreds of great songs, but I think my favorites are very gentle and autumnal. I’ve included it. Zach Bryan’s “Better Days” Zach Bryan’s “28” Zach Bryan’s “Oak Island” Zach Bryan’s “Lover’s Point of View” Taylor Swift’s “Albatross” Gracie Abrams’ “Us” and Taylor・Swift’s “Taylor Swift in August” Coldplay Yellow’s “Don’t Panic” Coldplay Yellow’s “Ophelia” The Lumineers Ho Hey by The Lumineers Eyes Closed by Ed Sheeran Distant by Tate・McRae Non Believer by La Rocca The following song was created for the fall. Some of these songs are about autumn or have some false meaning in their titles. The rest of these songs are by artists like Noah Kahan, Hozier, and Jack Johnson, making some of the best fall music perfect for your fall playlist. Stick Season (Noah Kahan) Cinnamon Bread (Ryan Beatty) Autumn Leaves (Ed Sheeran) The Witches (Alice Phoebe Lou) Northern Attitude (Noah Kahan & Hozier) You’re Gonna Go Far ( Noah Kahan) Someone New (Hoosier) Take me to Church (Hoosier) Too Sweet (Hoosier) Upside Down by Jack Johnson Breakdown by Jack Johnson Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson These classics have been around for a while. You might call it an oldie, but it’s still very good. I used to complain about parents letting their kids play in the car, but who were we kidding? Perfect for fall! It has a calm and dynamic feel, and when you listen to these songs in the car, you can really see the autumn leaves. Dreams by Fleetwood Mac Hypnotized by Fleetwood Mac Hear you Me by Jimmy Eat World Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles In My Life by The Beatles Blackbird by The Beatles The next group is perfect for a walk to class. Whether it’s a gorgeous fall morning or a less-than-glamorous chilly morning, these hopeful, uplifting songs will get you in the fall mood and ready to take on the day. I always look forward to going to class while listening to these songs. Whether you want to stop and take in the scenery or just take a breather, these songs are perfect. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, and not every day is a beautiful fall day at this time of year. On a day like this, in a moment like this, close your eyes and let the music drown out the noise. Please take a good rest. I promise you won’t miss anything.
