President Bola Tinubu has revealed that he has succeeded in attracting $30 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) commitments in less than two years after taking over.
Tinubu stated this during the opening of the Comptroller and Customs Commission (CGC) 2024 Conference in Abuja.
Speaking on behalf of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, the President noted that his administration had set out with a clear vision to strengthen Nigeria’s economic infrastructure and commended the great strides his administration had made. emphasized.
According to him, “In our massive quest for foreign direct investment, my administration has received over $30 billion in commitments from foreign investors in less than two years in office.”
“Soon, critics will have little to disagree with,” he said, citing the recent stabilization that has pushed oil production to a staggering 1.8 million barrels per day.
He further explained that the elimination of fuel subsidies and the unification of the exchange rate system are aimed at creating a more transparent and sustainable economic framework.
President Tinubu acknowledged that the policy required adjustment by the people, but insisted it was essential for the country’s long-term interests.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ribadu said the following about the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Taolid Lagbaha played one of the greatest military men Nigeria has ever produced.

“This is very sad and difficult to feel for our President, Senator Bola Tinubu, but we thank God for his life,” Ribadu said.
