The Nigerian government has condemned the terrorist attack on the headquarters of Turkey’s aerospace and defense company, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS), which left five people dead and 22 injured.
The condemnation was conveyed through an official statement issued by Ambassador Etche Odu Obe, Spokesperson of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the capital, Abuja.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria has announced that on October 23, 2024, a terrorist act targeted the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS), a Turkish aerospace and defense company, resulting in the death of 5 people and the injury of 22 others. I am saddened by what happened.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria therefore speaks in solidarity with the people of Turkiye and condemns such acts which only spread fear rather than peace,” the statement read.
Nigeria prays for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and extends its condolences to the government and the people of Turkiye.
