In his Thursday speech, Ogazi said the level of frequency fluctuations and frequency paralysis in the power grid cannot be resolved with free governors.

In November 2013, the federal government privatized all power generation companies and 11 distribution companies, with the government retaining ownership of the transmission companies. This was to improve the efficiency of this department.
