Tambari Sidney Gubara River Commissioner said that Governor Siminalai Hubara will complete his eight-year term and produce a successor in 2031.
The Chief Secretary’s statement came against the backdrop of political conflict between the governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike’s camp.
Mr Gubala, who was the immediate past public relations secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, said in a Facebook post that his opponents had hoped to oust him within three weeks, but their plans had failed. He said he was shocked.
He likened the scenario to a war between Russia and Ukraine, suggesting that Ukraine may have become governor because Russia thought it could be quickly defeated.
Mr. Gubala said the governor’s enemies took his humility for granted and underestimated his authority, adding that Mr. Gubala’s strength was that he advocated peace and protection of national interests. .
“They misinterpreted your humility as weakness, and they thought they would remove you from office within three weeks, just as Russia thought about Ukraine,” he told the governor.
“Today their arch-enemies have weakened and underestimated you, but your attitude and the peace-seeking disposition you have always shown, despite your provocative stance in the national interest. This is a rare leadership virtue.
“My leader, I have learned a lot working with you. That is why you are a man of grace, and the gods of the land are also pleased with you, so you will triumph in the face of all this.” I know I can fit it.
“Last week, they took out their frustrations across the state by destroying public property, hurting and shooting innocent souls, which is a sign that God has forsaken them and that they are now willing tools in the hands of the devil. It clearly shows that
“No one can play God. You will easily complete your eight-year term and produce a successor in 2031.
“We in the Kanna LGA Simplification Movement and the entire state will be here to support you, come rain or shine. We are moving!
