The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Ondo State Governor Lucky Olimisan Ayedatiwa on his victory in the recently concluded Ondo State governorship election.
Naija News reports that Governor Ayedatiwa secured re-election with a total of 366,781 votes in all 18 local government bodies in the state.
In a statement issued by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Moruka on Sunday, the party said Ayedatiwa’s victory was proof that the administration’s policies and campaign messages resonated with voters.
The APC also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and Ondo residents for their role in ensuring a smooth electoral process.
The statement read: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) sincerely congratulates the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Olimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his re-election.
“His Excellency’s resounding victory in the just concluded Ondo State governorship election is clear evidence that His administration’s policies and programs and campaign message of hope and unity resonated with voters.
“With this new mandate, I am confident that you will build on your previous achievements and lead the state to greater social and economic development for the benefit of the good people of Ondo State.
“We commend the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies for their professionalism and patriotism in fulfilling their constitutional role during the elections.
“I would like to thank everyone in Ondo constituency for their continued and much appreciated support to our great party.”
Governor Ayedatiwa’s victory declaration was made by the State Returning Officer, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, at the State Collation Center in Akure.
“Mr. Aedatiwa Lucky Olimisan of the APC is hereby re-elected as he has fulfilled the requirements of the law,” he announced.
