Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has said the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is embarrassing.
He said suspensions and counter-suspensions by various factions of the PDP at the national leadership level had brought the party to a new low.
Fayose said in an interview with Channels Television Sunday Politics that only miraculous divine intervention can unite the party again.
“The current situation in our party makes suspension and counter-suspension a mockery, especially at that level of leadership.
“And sadly, the current situation within the party has reduced the party’s standing to the level of the most unnecessary embarrassment,” Fayose said.
The former governor also pointed out that the arrogance of some members is what haunts the PDP.
He maintained that such people were affected by the 2023 All Progressives Congress (APC) general election defeat and only divine intervention could resolve the party’s problems.
“Today, the mismanagement and arrogance of some people is plaguing the party, and it is said that when the head is sick, the whole body is gone. Therefore, it is only through divine intervention that this party will be re-formed.” “It will take a miracle,” he said.
