The National Deputy Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West region, Kamoldine Ajisue, is confident that the ongoing leadership crisis within the party will not hinder its success in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election scheduled for November. expressed.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ajisafe stressed that the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi, remains in a good position to win the election despite internal challenges.
He reassured supporters that efforts were underway to resolve the party’s leadership issues, adding that voters still believed the PDP would bring about positive change.
Mr. Ajisafe further said that many Nigerians, especially voters in Ondo State, are disappointed by the poor performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and are looking forward to better governance from the PDP.
“Our chances are high,” Ajisafe pointed out. “Politicians from different political parties are joining us because they believe in the vision of the PDP.Given the widespread support we have received, we are confident that we will win this election. I am.”
He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure fairness and neutrality during the elections.

Referring to the ongoing leadership crisis, Mr. Ajisafe downplayed the impact of factionalism within the National Working Committee (NWC), saying it was a mere misunderstanding rather than a sign of a serious crisis.
He assured party members and supporters that the situation would not affect the party’s chances in the next election.
