The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Directors has advised President Bola Tinubu to immediately review his policies to stem the spread of hardship in the country.
In a communiqué after a meeting held at the party’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, the BOT expressed concern over economic hardship and a “general sense of misery and dejection.”
The central bank also warned Nigerians that the alleged rigging of the Edo State governorship election is part of a sinister plot by the APC to impose one-party dictatorship and totalitarian rule on the country.
The communiqué read in part: “Aggravating economic hardship, acute food crisis, general misery, despondency, uncertainty and despair in the country caused by the anti-people policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government. “Concerns about feelings.”
“The central bank urges the APC government to immediately review its policies, ensure lower fuel prices, make critical investments in food production, and increase the manufacturing sector to stimulate employment opportunities and alleviate the suffering of Nigerians. calls for immediate steps to be taken to revamp the system.
“BoT condemns and rejects in the strongest terms the brazen rigging of the September 21, 2024 Edo State governorship election by the APC in collusion with INEC and some compromised police operatives.”
The board maintained that from the votes cast at the polling stations, “it is clear that the PDP and its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, won the election.” The Democratic Party of Japan will take all legitimate measures to ensure that we recover the mandate that has been freely given to our party by the people of Edo.
“The central bank has warned Nigerians that the rigging of the Edo State governorship election is part of an evil plot by the APC to impose one-party dictatorship and totalitarian rule on our country and must be firmly resisted. I’m warning you not to.”
