Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanju, has advised Rivers State Governor Siminarayi Hubara not to be afraid to confront his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
Mr. Adeyanju maintained that Mr. Hubala did nothing to make Wike throw in the towel, adding that the FCT minister was a totalitarian.
The lawyer said this at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Naija News reports.
He maintained that Mr. Wike does not believe in compromise and the way to resolve the crisis in Rivers State is for Mr. Hubala to challenge his predecessor.
According to Adeyanju, “Nothing Hubala has done to make Wike back down. He is a totalitarian who does not believe in a middle ground. He did not seek to transfer, but the governor repeatedly He has been transferred. The solution is for the governor to confront him head on. Wike hates being challenged and once challenged he gets excited and starts talking anyway.
“The governor should challenge him head on. The law is if people defect, the law is set, as the Supreme Court said, they will lose their seats. They will go to the lower courts. I asked him to give another judgment on the same subject.
“Hubala should stand up and challenge that man, he is not God. He is not God. God complex that his word is supreme. Same as Wike gave to those who supported him Tinubu is no exception.
“Assuming I went to beg Wike, as he said in the interview, it means he is the oracle to get people into PDP. So why is he saying who and what in PDP? How could he not have made himself the PDP presidential candidate when he is the oracle of the party who decides what to get?”
