Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known as former PSquare group Rude Boy, has accused his twin brother Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, of stealing his unreleased songs.
The controversy began when Peter announced on his Instagram account a new song titled “Winning” and that it would be available on all streaming platforms.
In response, Paul revealed through his verified Instagram page that he had written a song titled “Winning” which was scheduled to be produced next year.
Surprisingly, his twin brother Peter Okoye had also released the same song by the same producer. The singer said he submitted six songs to management, but wondered why they would resing his songs word for word.
Paul claimed that he was the rightful owner of the song and said that the same producer was involved in writing and performing the song.
He asked his management and brother about the new song.
“Song title: WINNING Lyrics and singing by RUDEBOY. Produced by the same producer. Now, why? Can we release another version this time? Mr. Producer, we will discuss your case another time.
“It’s simple. Bring me 6 songs, please bring me 6 songs. I submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why are you re-singing your own songs? Word by word. This is a song that was supposed to be on the album.
In another post, the singer pointed out that the days of manipulation are over, emboldened his brother and management to release his own songs, and said that he would also release the original version.
He added: “The days of manipulation are over!!”
Then I’ll ask my management to listen to any song that only I can sing, and then I’ll go and release the original version.
Ororiburg!! Music isn’t that difficult! ! ”
