The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Reconciliation Committee has announced that it has reconciled members of the party's National Working Committee (NWC).
Chairman of the commission, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, said this in a conversation with reporters after the commission’s meeting with the NWC in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said the talks were fruitful and stressed that reconciliation was necessary for the party to move forward.
“The outcome of today’s meeting is, to the glory of God, that we were able to resolve the differences that were giving our party headaches within the NWC.
“Thank God we were able to open ourselves and resolve to move forward as a united NWC. That is what is needed for the progress of our party, the PDP,” he said. said.
Mr Oyinlola declined to reveal the nature of the matter, but said the commission had resolved the crisis within the NWC rank and file.
When asked if the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting would also be held on Thursday, Mr Oyinlola said it was not part of the committee’s discussions.
