The iHeartRadio Music Awards, known for celebrating exceptional artistry and giving fans the opportunity to vote for their favorites, is gearing up for another exciting edition.
Scheduled for March 17, 2205, the awards promise another year of great performances and thrilling surprises. What makes this year even more exciting is the great representation of African music. Nigerian stars Burna Boy and Thames and South African rising star Tyra are all nominated for the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025. Best world artist.
Having had a great year of musicals, Tyra has surpassed other artists in the African musical world with a total of four nominations. She is a nominee for World Artist of the Year and her hit single “Water” is nominated for R&B Song of the Year. In addition, his collaboration with Marshmello, “Water X,” was named Dance Song of the Year. The Jump hitmaker is also nominated in the Best New Artist (R&B) category, showing off her versatility.
The nominations also include diverse artists in other major categories. The Song of the Year lineup includes hits such as Doja Cat’s “Agora Hills,” Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” and Tate McRae’s “Greedy.” Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter are among the big names vying for pop artist of the year.
