Usman Bugaje, the prominent chief of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), citing economic management and policy failures, describing all Progressive Congress (APC)-led governments as “disasters.”
Naija News reported that Bugaje made a statement on Arise TV’s morning show on Friday, where he lamented the state of governance under the APC administration.
Speaking about the performance of the APC government, he said: “My views on the APC government are very well known. I made it very clear. I put it in writing. It appeared. And you want the ACF view. If so, they have a spokesman who can speak for them and perhaps they can follow whatever they say.
“For me, the APC government from Buhari up until now is a disaster for this country. I’m not saying that PDP would do better. This trusts APC, PDP, APGA, labor. I’ve said several times that I haven’t. I don’t trust these parties because these parties are standing at the moment. What I want, I think I’ll work in Nigeria. is a university leadership made up of the best and brightest. We tried to do it.
“If you remember, we launched a platform called the Rescue Nigeria Project. What we were trying to do is not politicians who weren’t out to make money. It is to get the best and brightest people who can really solve the problems of this country, even understanding the terrain. They forget what is happening around the world. Therefore, they read the book. They are not engaged in discussions. They do not share information from around the world. And they distribute rice to these poor ordinary Nigerians who don’t know what is going on. It’s fixed as to whether or not you should do it.”
