Ahia Onidikachi is a rapidly rising name in the Nigerian technology industry. A serial entrepreneur and founder of several successful startups including Vitrum Cable and 2K Super App, Ahia is helping reshape the way Nigerians access technology and digital services. His work is focused on creating solutions that address the country’s digital divide and financial inclusion challenges, and his contributions are already having a major impact.
Born in Nigeria, Ahia developed an interest in technology from an early age and earned a degree in Information Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).
Recently, as part of its dedication to the cause, Ahia installed free internet connectivity at FUTO’s Information Management Technology Department. The initiative aims to strengthen research capacity, improve academic performance and promote digital inclusion.
We also donated three months of free internet service to our secondary school alma mater, Government College Umuahia, to support access to digital learning and educational resources. These philanthropic efforts reflect Ahia’s strong belief in empowering the next generation through technology.
In 2022, Ahia co-founded Vitrum Cable, an internet service provider focused on providing reliable and affordable internet to underserved areas of Eastern Nigeria. The company quickly gained attention for its mission to bridge the digital divide in these sectors. “Many parts of Nigeria still do not have adequate internet access and we wanted to change that,” Ahia explained. “Vitrum Cable is more than just an internet company. We’re about giving people the tools they need to succeed in the digital world.”
In addition to Vitrum Cable, Ahia also founded 2K Super App, a mobile application aimed at improving financial inclusion in Nigeria. The app provides users with access to a variety of services such as banking, payment solutions, and business tools. “With the 2K Super App, we are giving people more control over their finances and helping them grow their businesses,” Ahia said. “It’s about enabling individuals and small businesses to reach their full potential.”
His innovative approach to technology and commitment to solving real-world problems has earned him recognition as a rising star in the Nigerian startup ecosystem. Through his ventures, he not only drives digital transformation, but also makes technology more accessible to people in underserved communities.
Ahia remains focused on creating more solutions that empower people and drive economic growth as Nigeria’s digital landscape continues to evolve. “This is just the beginning,” he said. “We are excited about what the future holds for technology in Nigeria and how we can continue to make a positive impact.”
