Sen. Adolphus Wabara, chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) council meeting, once again praised Governor Alex Otti for his contribution to Abia.
Wabara said on Sunday at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia during the celebration of the 80th birthday of former state government secretary Dr. Godwill Okoro, under his first tenure of former governor Okezi Ikpeaz. I made a comment.
The former Senate President emphasized that he was the first citizen of Abia state before becoming a PDP member.
Naija News recalls that Wabara was suspended by the party’s Abia state branch on Tuesday, February 11th and prohibited from holding party offices.
This decision was achieved after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting, which was principally sided by Chairman Ama Abraham.
The Abia State PDP accused Wabara of being an anti-party activity and did not apologise despite being given the opportunity to do so.
Wabara’s activities have not been held by a former Senate president and chairman of the party’s bot.
However, dealing with the rally, Wabara repeated his stance, saying governance should be prioritized over post-election party politics.
He said, “Before I became a member of the PDP card carrier, before I became a member of the NRC card carrier of this state, I, Adolphus ndunueh Wabara, was first and foremost a citizen of Abia.
"Politics ends after the campaign, after the election, and then you start thinking about governance. Even the blind can see what’s going on in Abia! And I’m saying once more! Maybe now they can banish me now since they said I was interrupted.”
Encouraging Otti to continue his efforts, Wabara added: Our ancestors of Abia are with you. Perhaps the state’s PDP leadership will air the next day to stop Dr. Emerike Okoro, who Governor Otti came to celebrate. ”
He further affirmed his continued support for Otti and declared that no one could pause him from the PDP to state the obvious truth to everyone.
“I will be one of those who will continue to thank you. I have not mentioned Labour. I have always mentioned Governor Alex Otti. PDP Chairman Bott declared.
Wabara concluded by acknowledging that Otti, which many had initially opposed, is leading Abia State towards recovery from years of poor governance.
