Activist and politician Aisha Yesufu has been a scathing critic of President Bola Tinubu, branding him an “evil man” amid the continuing economic challenges facing Nigeria.
Mr Yesufu’s comments were in response to recent remarks by Senator Ali Ndume, who blamed the president’s inner circle for the country’s economic woes.
Senator Ndume, who represents South Borno, said certain individuals surrounding Tinubu were responsible for implementing “harmful policies” that worsened the economic situation rather than addressing pressing issues such as inflation and exchange rate stability. He expressed concern that there is.
He highlighted the alarming rise in the prices of fuel, food and essential goods and called on the government to take immediate action.
Mr. Yesufu echoed Mr. Ndume’s opinion, stressing that the current state of the economy is poorly reflected in the leadership at the helm.
The activist criticized the Tinubu administration for failing to alleviate the suffering of ordinary Nigerians, arguing that the president’s decisions and those around him are detrimental to the welfare of the country.
Mr Ndume said: “Those who are bent on making the President look bad will stop at nothing to cause suffering to Nigerians through so-called reforms until the situation gets out of control.President Tinubu is responsible for this. It will be there.
“I believe that President Tinubu means well for Nigeria and Nigerians. I know that because I know what he stands for. But this country Some of his advisors, who have no ill will towards people, give him wrong advice.”
In response to a post about X, Yesufu wrote: “Tinubu is a bad person. Let’s call a spade a spade, not a gardening tool.”
