Members of the Association of Women Business Networks of Nigeria (ANWBN) received support from Unity Bank Plc in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital marketing skills to give them an edge over their peers in their respective fields.
The bank empowered women with a capacity building workshop themed ‘Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: AI and Digital Marketing Strategies’.
Participants were provided with tools to leverage digital platforms to expand their market reach, increase efficiency in business operations, engage customers, and increase brand awareness.
The aim is to ensure that women entrepreneurs have the skills they need to succeed in today’s digital economy and take advantage of emerging technologies.
Adenike Abimbola, Head of Retail and SME Banking at Unity Bank, said this capacity-building initiative was inspired by the need to enable women entrepreneurs to take advantage of the growing opportunities presented by the evolving digital marketing landscape. One of the participants, fashion designer Yetunde Adeniran, said he had found more ways to integrate digital technology into various aspects of his business.
He also highlighted the benefits of Unity Bank’s Yanga Account, noting that it is an important tool for small business owners, offering financial support tailored to their specific needs. This package was launched by financial institutions in 2022 to promote financial inclusion of women.
