Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of Ondo State has called on the people of the state to vote in honor of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Lucky Ayedatiwa, who is seeking re-election under the All Progressives Congress, said the late governor would be happy to see Ondo people vote for APC.
He said this at the APC governorship election rally held at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park in Akure on Wednesday.
After asking the crowd which party they would vote for and receiving a chorus of APC in response, Governor Ondo said: To win the election. ”
He disclosed that the late Akeredolu had once said that he would be his successor and that he was happy to do so next Saturday.
Governor Ayedatiwa observed a minute’s silence in honor of the late Akeredolu. He told supporters that his administration would build on the good legacy of the former governor.
He added that since assuming office, he has undertaken a significant number of development projects across all sectors of the state’s economy. He promised to do more if re-elected.
In his address, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umaru Ganduje vowed that “by the grace of God, this Saturday, November 16, Governor Ayedatiwa will win the gubernatorial election.”
The former Kano State governor called on Ondo people to vote en masse for Aiyedatiwa, saying, “A vote for governor is a vote for unity, a vote for peace, a vote for development.” Ta.
