Kayodefeiyemi, former Minister of Solid Mineral, said the All Progressive Parliament (APC) has an obligation to apologise for Nigerians for not fulfilling their promises.
Naija News reported that in an interview Thursday, Fayemi was asked whether APC was apologizing for what he did to eliminate former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, and that he said yes.
Remember that former Governor Ekiti state said the protests in Nigeria’s occupation against the Jonathan administration over the removal of fuel subsidies were politically motivated.
He said he knew Jonathan’s decision to remove the fuel subsidies was correct, but they protested it.
In an interview with Channels TV, APC Chieftain admitted that the party was unable to provide Nigerian people with what they had promised.
He said: “Oh, obviously we have to apologise to the people of Nigeria. We have not succeeded in achieving everything we promised to the people of Nigeria. And that’s what I meant. Not only because they were incompetent, but there were other structural obstacles that made things even more difficult for us. But obviously, we are enough to enrich our lives for the people of Nigeria. I haven’t done anything.
“So I clearly don’t hesitate to apologise to Nigerian people. There’s more to do. Apologies, well, it may give us a pleasant factor, a pleasant atmosphere or a feeling. But that’s not what we really need. We all need to consider leaders in our field, and we need to put together what we do. Otherwise, the risk of doing it will be a return Because it’s higher than that.
“For me, I was very fortunate. I have to admit. I was standing on the shoulders of a giant. I was raised by Enahoros, the wole soyinkas of this world. I was brought to this journey. When I first started, they were the people who lifted me up as young men.
“And I have an obligation. So my wife and I decided that we had an obligation to settle on one line and find a way to allow the young Africans to become a better actor than ever. Ta.”
