Shef Sani, a former MP who represents the Kaduna Central Senate District, has revealed that Kaduna Governor Uba Sani has been in charge of returning to all Progressive Congress (APC) after the settlement meeting.
Naija News reports that on February 16, 2025, some members of Sani, PDP and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) have joined Kaduna’s ruling APC.
Remember, in October 2018, Sani resigned from the APC over the controversy surrounding the party’s primary election.
Sani later moved to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) where he secured tickets for the party’s senator, but lost the 2019 election to Sani, the incumbent governor of Kaduna.
Speaking about the channel TV, hardcopy, on Friday, the former Senator said Uba Sani crossed the bridge to promote his return to APC.
He said: “It led to a massive exit from APC one day in 2018, and that changed, and then rejoined APC in Kaduna.
“First of all, I was a founding member of the APC in Kaduna, especially. We established the structure, campaigned, won the 2015 elections on both the senator and governor level. Somewhere along the way, we parted ways with the state governor (Nasir El-Rufai).
“We parted ways about differences between political, personal and national issues, so we had to kick ourselves out of the party.
“I met and agreed to a party that I had established in Kaduna after building bridges throughout the state.”
