Renowned filmmaker Andy Boyo has revealed how he was expelled from school because of legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
“This project is a labor of love,” Boyo said recently when talking about his love for fellatio and the project he is working on.
Boyo said, “Fela has always been my passion. I was expelled from Glorious College, Ibadan for secretly watching a Fela performance at the University of Ibadan’s ‘Havana Nights’.” . Fela was my mentor. I admired his personality and music. When I returned to school, I was expelled. ”
Afrobeats legend Fela died in 1997 in Lagos, Nigeria, at the age of 58.
The creative movie star with her latest project is gearing up to bring the iconic life of the Nigerian artist and political advocate to the silver screen in a highly anticipated biopic.
Boyo has acquired the rights to his music after three years of planning and is said to be ready to begin filming in Nigeria, the UK and the US in 2025.
Rumor has it that the high-profile film will feature a wide cast, including 27 actresses who will play Fela’s wives.
Boyo, known for successful films such as Untamed and Spirit of Assassins, will also direct, write and produce the biopic.
