House of Representatives member Alhassan Dogwa has slammed former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso for criticizing the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
According to a report in Naija News, while speaking at a political rally in Kano State, Kwankwaso said that Nigerians, especially northerners, are fed up with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and intend to change it in the 2027 elections. He said that.
However, in a statement on Friday, Mr Dogwa rejected Mr Kwankwaso’s claim that Nigerians would reject the APC in 2027 as “mere illusion”.
The lawmaker said it was no secret that the Tinubu-led government was working hard to transform Nigeria for the advancement and prosperity of its people.
He further criticized the NNPP for its “nonperformance” in the Kano elections and declared that the APC was ready to take back the state in the next election.
Mr Doguwa also highlighted Mr Tinubu’s achievements including attracting over $30 billion in foreign direct investment, reducing the country’s debt service ratio and combating insecurity in the North West.
He said: “At a political rally on Thursday, my colleague Mr. Kwankwaso took the illusion seriously when he said that Nigerians are fed up with the APC and will change it in 2027.
“As everyone knows, President Bola Tinubu is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to return our country to the path of progress and prosperity for the benefit of all.”
Mr Doguwa commended the Tinubu administration for restoring peace and rebuilding the northern region, adding that “a breath of fresh air is already percolating in the North West following the onslaught against these bandits”. Our people are now returning to farms. ”
