The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Alhassan Doguwa, has warned that the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is the most likely candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2027 polls. in response to a statement that he would vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at a political rally in Kano on Thursday, Mr Kwankwaso said Nigerians, especially northerners, are tired of the APC and will change it in the 2027 presidential election.
Mr Doguwa said in a statement in Abuja that Mr Kwankwaso had yet to recover from the defeat he suffered at the hands of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election. Therefore, he is hallucinating the year 2027.
Mr Doguwa, who represents Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency in Kano State, said Mr Kwankwaso should stop hallucinating and face his impending retirement from politics in 2027.
“At a political rally on Thursday, my colleague in the Third House of Representatives, Mr. Kwankwaso, took the hallucination to heart when he said that Nigerians are fed up with the APC and will change it in 2027. “As per President Bola, Mr. Ahmed Tinubu is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to return our country to the path of progress and prosperity for the benefit of all,” he said.
Doguwa, a leading member of the House of Representatives, said President Tinubu took over the leadership role of the country 16 months ago when the economy was in dire straits in all sectors.
He said that since President Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023, he has worked diligently to correct the fiscal misalignment that is plaguing the country’s economic slump.
Mr Doguwa said under President Tinubu the country had attracted more than $30 billion in foreign direct investment in 16 months. He said President Tinubu had paid the foreign exchange balance of $7 billion and liquidated over N30 trillion of means and instruments inherited from the previous administration.
President Tinubu lowered the debt service ratio from 97% to 68% and maintained foreign exchange reserves at $37 billion. “Just this week, an economic stabilization bill was introduced in Congress to stimulate our productive capacity and create more jobs and prosperity at home,” he said.
In the area of security, he said the government had eliminated over 300 Boko Haram and bandit commanders, including Kachala Khalil Sububu, who terrorized the people of Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna for over five years.
Fresh air is already percolating in the North West following the onslaught against these bandits. Our people are now returning to farms. I pray for a rich harvest. I also thank the President for establishing the North West Development Commission to facilitate the rebuilding and reconstruction of the geopolitical zone that is our nation’s food basket.”
He expressed optimism that the president’s interventions will bear fruit and that the challenges facing the country will disappear in the coming months.
He urged Kwankwaso to release Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and stop remote control. No matter how much noise Kwankwaso makes, the APC in Kano City is already poised to oust the Kangaroo NNPP government in Kano State in 2027 following the failure of the NNPP, loss of public trust and breach of confidence in the elections. . ”
He also said that Kwankwaso lacks the moral compass to represent the North Korean people, adding that his claims are nothing more than whimsical statements that apply to himself.
