The National Youth Deputy Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Timothy Osadore, has once again called on party leaders to put aside their personal interests and work in the interest of the party in the 2027 elections.
Winning the 2027 presidential election is not rocket science, he said, but it does require the party to shrink in strength and operate as a single unit.
Mr. Osadolu appealed to former PDP leaders, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and state governors, to fully rejoin the party and support them.
In an interview with Daily Independent published on Monday and monitored by Naija News, the PDP leader said if PDP stakeholders could come together, the party would regain its place in Nigerian politics.
he said: “Going to the villa is not rocket science. All that is required is the trust and mission of the people under the mercy of our Lord God. Therefore, I am committed to the main power blocs within the party and our great We call on our leaders… to join General Olusegun Obasanjo and former President Goodluck Jonathan to return to their homeland and take pride of place in the PDP.
“Similarly, we call on our leader, Mr. Waziri of Adamawa, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, who is the standard bearer of the PDP in 2019 and 2023, to come and provide leadership, but please be aware that party politics and Ambitions are intertwined. It’s not a relationship that’s best to oil every four years, it requires watering, communication, and availability.
“I also urge the governor to give tacit support to the party instead of giving personal support to personal friends of the NWC.”
Appeal to Wyke
In the showdown between Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike and the PDP, Mr Osadore appealed to both parties to bury the hatchet.
He maintained that Mr Wike was a valuable asset to the party and if he was kept away from the PDP it would become an irresolvable debt.
“I would be wrong if I did not appeal to Governor Wike to abandon his grouse voice calling for peace to reign and put his charismatic spirit to work for the PDP. No one wants to part with an asset like Wike. Don’t start thinking like that, then he will become an unsolvable liability for you. Time will teach us all our lessons and now is the time to heal and reunite. is.
