“Each era is so different from the last, which is why I fell in love with his music. Each new chapter tells a different story, and it’s really beautiful to see it all unfold. ” His music makes sense and every song sounds like it belongs perfectly in its chapter. ”
It’s clear that millions of people feel the same way, as The Weeknd was named Spotify’s most listened to artist on a monthly basis last year.

She said: “Abel’s music got me through some of the most difficult times growing up. Looking forward to new music always cheered me up.
“In 2020, his album 'After Hours’ got us through the pandemic. I couldn’t wait to see him on tour and always look forward to it. During the Corona period. , while bored at home, I also created and edited artwork that was reposted multiple times by The Weeknd on X and Instagram.

“I started my weight loss journey at the end of 2021 and lost 70 pounds in 6 months. Whenever I went to the gym, I just listened to The Weeknd because that’s what motivates me more than anything. Because you gave it to me.”
Cara has seen the “Blinding Lights” singer in public three times, but jokes that she was treated to a private gig once.
She explained: “I saw The Weeknd live three times (four times to be exact): twice in Philadelphia and Washington DC in 2022, and once in Lisbon, Portugal in 2023. I saved up money and flew to Europe just to go to Europe, and I want to tell you why it was worth it.
“I joke that I saw him live four times because in Lisbon his concert was to be held at Arges, on the beach. Two days before the concert, I came to see the venue. But I didn’t know that Abel was going to rehearse the entire set list on stage.
“The first one or two songs I was jumping up and down and screaming, hoping he would see me from the beach. And my wish came true. Then he looked at me and we started singing every song. We sang every word together, including “Popular,” which was the only song we sang together. He was only 2 days old at the time. ”
Cara holds up a placard and tells The Weeknd that his music saved her life.
Someone from The Weeknd’s team went up to Cara to see if she had tickets to the show. Of course, she couldn’t wait to hear it all again.
He added, “The concert I did in Washington, D.C., was a full-circle moment for me because I was in the front row holding up a poster that said, ‘Your music saved my life.’ Thank you, Abel.”
