The ongoing crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) shows no signs of resolution as intra-party discord has led to deep divisions among governors elected on the party’s platform.
The chaos escalated on Friday when the national leadership of the PDP split into two factions, with Yayari Mohammed and Umar Damagum leading their respective factions.
The split follows the controversial suspension of the party’s National Legal Adviser, Mr. Adeyemi Ajibade, and the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, by the Damagum faction during the 593rd National Working Committee (NWC) meeting. It is something.
