Nigerian football fans are sharing their opinions on the recent changes at Old Trafford, with Ruud van Nistelrooy appointed as interim manager.
Yesterday, Manchester United sacked manager Erik ten Hag with immediate effect, less than 24 hours after suffering a heavy defeat to struggling West Ham United in the Premier League.
The defeat gave United their worst start to the Premier League in their history, leaving them 14th in the table after nine games.

While some United fans in Nigeria welcomed the decision, rival fans humorously suggested that Ten Hag would be willing to play for their favorite club for longer in order to maximize points in upcoming matches against United. I was hoping he would stay.
Former Super Eagles defensive midfielder Moses Kapakor, apparently disillusioned with previous games, seems relieved as he says he will start watching Man United games.
"Now I’m going to start watching Manchester United again. I’m a former Super Eagles defensive midfielder,” he said.

“Sad. This is so bad, why don’t we wait until we play him on Sunday, evil club. Ten Hag was a good coach,” he wrote.
Another fan, Fandu est mauvais @Tim_josh_15, likened the English club to Nigeria, where the people miss their presidents.
“Oh my god, we can’t let Ten Hagou slip away because Man Utd’s arch-rivals are like Nigeria,” he said.
Another angry fan, Taiwo_Ajakaye @dmightyangel, said the Dutch manager should be arrested and handed over to the Nigerian fans. Obviously because of the poor results the club has often produced.
“Not just sack this man, Erik ten Hag needs to be arrested and handed over to @ManUtd fans in Nigeria. I want to show him something,” he said.
Boluwatife @bolu__temi called on the sacked coach to be sent to Nigeria to endure the “pain”.
“Send Ten Hag to Nigeria. I want him to stand in line for fuel,” he demanded.
Liverpool fan Lord of Nigeria @Lord_of_Nigeria has mocked Man Utd, apparently based on the historic rivalry between the two clubs, and says he’s happy to see the club in ruins and the manager He said he would feel lonely when he was gone.
“Goodbye Tembabaa. It was fun watching United’s disaster class, I’ll miss you. I’m an honest Liverpool fan,” he said.
Maha_SamaX @Ahmedmaha3 likened Man United to Nigeria in terms of leadership.
“The Manchester United thing should be like Nigeria and the leadership. If Ten Hag leaves now, Day will say Ten Hag is better,” he said.
