Naija News understands that the allegations were made through social media reports.
However, in a statement signed by the Secretary of Information and Communications, Walisenibo Joe Johnson, the Rivers administration said the report was not only false but also fabricated propaganda.
The government called on Rivers residents to ignore the report, adding that Hubara had not given such unnecessary instructions.
“The attention of the Rivers State Government has been drawn to a fake news item about the ‘Governor’s remarks’ that has been circulating on social media,” the statement read. Siminalai Hubara has shut down NNPCL and all oil companies in Rivers State. ”
“This report was not only false but also propaganda concocted by the imagination of the author and enemies of the state. This story was also disseminated by insignificant and unidentified media.
“Governor Siminalai Hubala is committed to the rule of law and will not rely on unconventional and shoddy approaches to address governance issues.
“We, therefore, urge Rivers residents and well-meaning Nigerians to falsely state that Governor Hubala has never considered or directed any unnecessary order to suspend economic activities for any reason. order to discount the false report.”
