The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has said that the recent media attack by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Labor’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi is a reflection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s fear of losing the 2027 presidential election. Obi’s life, family and close relationships by APC spokesperson “The threat against the APC is a direct expression of fear for the society and the potential end of the APC-led government,” the statement read.

“No amount of blackmail and intimidation by the APC will stop Nigerian voters from rejecting their leadership in 2027,” Samuel added.
"The threat to Peter Obi’s life and family will never stop the fierce determination of Nigerians to overthrow the worst government of impunity since Nigeria’s independence,” the statement read.
“MASSOB, as a non-violent pro-Biafra movement, will no longer sit idly by while some disgruntled people threaten the lives of non-corrupt political figures in Nigeria.
