Bashir El Rufai, son of Nasir El Rufai, submitted that Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate (LP) Peter Obi is not a bad person.
According to him, his previous party members are those who poisoned his heart against Obi.
Naija News reports that young Elrufai made a declaration on Monday following his father’s decision to abandon All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Social Democrats (SDP).
Bashir aims to dig into APC members after his father's exile.
In one of his posts via X, El-Rufai said his views on Obi have changed.
He writes: “Peter Obi is surprisingly not a bad person. My opinion of him has changed recently. My heart has been poisoned by my former party members. Sai Obi!”
In another post, Bashir revealed that he has gained more supporters and members for his father’s new political party.
He said there is an “online platform for all future SDP members to register and participate by this weekend.”
Meanwhile, Joe Igbokwe, chief of All Progressives Congress (APC), claims that President Bola Tinubu is the owner of the Social Democrats (SDP).
Naija News reports that Igbokwe’s claims follow El-Rufai’s defection from the APC to the SDP.
In response to development, Igbokwe considered running for president under the SDP in 2027 in a series of posts on his official Facebook page to recognize that Tinubu controls the party.
