Adam Brooks Webber will perform original music concerts on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th in the sanctuary of Open Prairie United Church of Christ, 25 East Marion Street, Princeton.
There will be two concerts. The first will be on Friday, October 18th at 7pm, and the first on Saturday, October 19th at 2pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided during breaks. Free will donations are accepted to support the host church.
Weber sings a unique range of songs, usually with piano accompaniment. His humorous, Tom Lehrer-esque songs can sometimes be vulgar and irreverent. Other songs are based on stories from the Christian tradition and convey unconventional but serious spirituality. Online, he appears as a cheerful mystic. Webber is a 1980 graduate of Princeton High School and holds degrees from Dartmouth College, Cornell University, and Earlham School of Religion. Previously, he was a computer science professor. He was ordained as a minister in the United Church of Christ and has served as pastor of Open Prairie Church since 2017. He holds a 7th degree black belt from Karatedo Doshinkan and has published 7 books, various articles, and 2 CDs. original music.
