MNRK Music Group has promoted Chris Moncada to Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately.
Moncada will be based in Toronto and will work from various MRNK offices in New York, Nashville, Toronto and the United Kingdom, and will report to MNRK President and CEO Shawn Stephenson.
In this elevated role, Moncada will oversee all day-to-day operations for MNRK, develop and execute key business strategies, and drive strategic growth initiatives with a focus on A&R, artist development, and catalog growth.
According to a statement from MNRK, he will “develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize the efficiency of label operations” and will oversee P&L leads across the Rock & Metal, Hip Hop/R&B, International and Last Gang divisions. , and plans to manage it.
Moncada currently reports to Scott Givens, Senior Vice President of Rock & Metal. Ted May, UK Managing Director and Head of International; Ian “JY” Williams, Senior Director of A&R. and Synch director Ben Chan.
Moncada joined the company in 2015 as GM of the MRNK label, Last Gang.
In 2022, his duties expanded outside of the Last Gang roster to include A&R functions for the entire MNRK label group.
Prior to joining MNRK and The Last Gang, Moncada held various roles across marketing, A&R, and artist services at both Universal Music and Warner Music.
