Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its gubernatorial candidate Gboyega Oyetola stole the 2018 governorship election from him.
According to Naija News, Adeleke disclosed this in an interview with Wazobia TV on Monday.
Governor Adeleke claimed that he had not lost the election to his predecessor, Mr. Oyetola, but the people’s mandate had been stolen.
he said: “I did not lose to Oyetola. They stole the mandate of the people of Osun State.”
Speaking about his victory in the 2022 elections, Mr. Adeleke blamed Mr. Oyetola and explained that God hid 200,000 votes after the opposition tried to rig the election.
He said, “No, I just won, I just whipped him (I won, but I didn’t just win, I beat him overall)."
The governor also attributed his success to divine intervention, saying, “God brought discord in the camp of my enemies, and before I returned from America, he caused them to fight against themselves.”
Regarding the issue of borrowing, he made the following statement: Instead, I set aside my security vote for infrastructure and development in Osun State. ”
Mr. Adeleke also assured the people of Osun State that roads would be improved, saying, “If you are a farmer and people have farms, but the roads are not built, how will you access the city to sell your produce?” Will you?” he added.
