The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won a landslide victory in Saturday's local government elections, securing 23 chairpersonships and all 255 council seats.
At a press conference announcing the results, KAD-SIECOM Chairman Hajara Mohammed said eight political parties participated in the elections and APC won in key local government areas such as Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Igabi and Igabi. I confirmed that. Kaduna North and South etc.

He said the process was largely free, fair and peaceful, noting that only minor issues were reported in the three voting units.
“The turnout in the 23 municipalities was satisfactory and the elections were held peacefully,” Sani said.
Additionally, the Inter-Party Consultative Council (IPAC) leadership in Kaduna assessed that the elections were largely peaceful and transparent despite some delays in the arrival of voting materials in certain areas. and praised the election.
