Former Labor Party gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rose-Bivour, has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) rewards corruption.
According to a report in Naija News, News Agency Rose Vivour said the APC is attracting the worst Nigerians with all kinds of criminal problems to control the people.
In an interview with Nigeria InfoFM, the Labor Party leader said the political events that took place in the Lagos House of Assembly were indicative of the cabal’s manipulation of Lagos State politics.
“It is clear to the blind that the APC is a party that rewards corruption, violence and impunity. No wonder it attracts leaders who don’t have it.
“This explains why they do not campaign on ideas (or even govern on ideas), but rely on prejudice, violence and collusion to force their way into power. .
“A country cannot grow with a political party that is made up of people without character, ability, or empathy,” he said.
He continued that those governing Lagos under the APC are supposed to serve the cabals that have put them in political positions. He said the cabal only supports political aspirants who follow its orders.
“It’s the people who bend who are rewarded. They take advantage of people who follow the orders of the people who put them there, not the people. The people in the party who put them there. And the governor simply A governor for the people within the APC, not a governor for the whole of Lagos.
“They are in charge of and walk the fate of over 20 million souls. So you have to be accountable to people other than the cabal that put you there. And for Lagosians, for Nigerians, if the people who are leading you, you are leading them there. They answer to the people who put them there first, and the answer to the people who put it there is usually not in your interest, and it’s your commonwealth. It’s unfortunate. What they are giving to these people is your tax money,” he added.
